Learn to crochet - chain stitch, my first video tutorial

Well here it is!
My first video - on you tube! I'm very excited that I managed to get it done.  It's not slick, smooth and perfect - but I learnt a LOT!  Now that I know I can do it - I can work on making more videos that are better and better!

I've had fun making this and learning - and will be sharing what I learnt in some blog posts this week.
If there's anything particular you'd like to know how I did - please ask!

But for now - please take a look at my first ever video:

Anyone can crochet - starting out

Please please, let me know what you think. Don't be shy - any comments - what you liked and didn't - what I can improve on etc!

Go on - I can take it!

  3. So great! I would not change a thing, I love how slowwwly you started so a beginner could really get it. And your voice is so natural and reassuring, like, "Don't worry about a thing, I know exactly what I;m doing, just sit back and watch." That's how it felt to me. Wonderful, Jill - I do believe you are going to teach me to crochet!

  4. I agree totally with Michelle L.... a natural. You came over as very confident and you've twigged something that's way back in my brain... I'm remembering how to crochet. Well done, Jill. I'm looking forward to the series.

  6. I did not like the music at the beginning of the video but the instruction portion is great and I am looking forward to follow up videos that will even show how to follow a pattern.

  7. Hi Jill

Nice job on the video. I am looking forward to your next installment. My grandmother tried to teach me to crochet when I was a little girl but the only thing I could learn was the chain stitch and that is still all I know how to do. :-)
