Vegemite is a yeast extract - there are alternatives - Marmite and Promite, but I'm sorry, I'm not sure what's available in the US. I just use cheddar cheese and plain flour. I've been thinking of trying these with a different topping - I thought tomato pizza scrolls would be nice - just spread on some tomato paste with herbs then cheese instead of the vegemite - I'm sure that would taste great!

Good luck with them - hope you manage to make your version of them!

Have a lovely weekend!Jillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04377276479172112517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6561146385820548849.post-22666135580815325192013-10-04T07:59:34.818+10:002013-10-04T07:59:34.818+10:00Hi Jill, I'm a newbie in the blog community bu...Hi Jill, I'm a newbie in the blog community but I've been getting your newsletter for quite some time! I really want to try these Cheesymites but I don't know if we have Vegemite here in Pennsylvania, USA. What is it exactly? Maybe we have something I can substitute for the Vegemite. Also, what kind of cheese(s) do you use? (Cheddar, Swiss, mixed, for example), and what kind of flour (self-rising, all purpose, cake flour, for example)? Thank you inadvance for your reply. These look sooooo scrumptious-my stomach is growling..lol. Thanks for the recipe :)
P.S. by the way, do you watch Master chief Australia? There is one woman-participant, who I don't know why, I associated with you when I saw her, most probably because she is Australian too, and you kind of resemble her :)heheHindustankahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02511421203148396188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6561146385820548849.post-26965857608258270422013-09-20T10:05:16.542+10:002013-09-20T10:05:16.542+10:00Hi Michelle
