More Sock Monkeys - this week's clothes upcycle

This week's clothes upcycle for my challenge was a couple of sock monkeys.

The first one was from a pair of socks with cute little aliens on. The aliens have ended up on the sock monkeys feet and hands!

The other monkey was from a pair of long stripy socks.

I used this pattern to make the sock monkeys. I've used it before so now am building up a family of monkeys (and a lion!) to sell!

If you'd like to see the other things I've made from clothes so far this year - go here!

And for plenty more inspiration and ideas for upcycling clothes - you can visit the ongoing linky which currently has over 600 projects linked up!

Please add any of your own ideas and clothes upcycles too!

  4. They are so cute! Loving the colors. When I saw the last picture I thought of the wise monkeys: "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. ." I’m so glad you linked it with us at Thursday Favorite Things!

    1. Thanks Jas! Oh and that would be a great idea for presenting them at the carnival stall - as 3 wise monkeys in the poses - see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil! Thanks for the inspiration!
