A Round Tuit 186

Welcome to the final Round Tuit of 2013.
Thanks to everyone who has supported this linky and joined in this year - it's been great!
I have of course got new plans and goals for 2014 which I can't wait to get stuck into, the Round Tuit will continue next year as I love seeing all your creativity and ideas!

So for one last time this year - let's party!!!

Tuits are very hard to come by, especially the round ones. For years people have been saying, "I'll do it as soon as I get a round tuit". Well now you can have one of your very own, and all those jobs that have needed doing will finally get done!

Here's my favourites from last week's party:

First of all, my favourite - a clothes upcycle! This time some boys football shorts from adult ones by Green Issues by Agy! Her son even helped her sew them!!

A Round Tuit 184

Welcome once again to another Round Tuit.
So many fabulous links last week - and some great Christmas ideas! It was hard to choose just 3 of my favourites!

Our Christmas tree is now up - and we have just a couple of weeks of final renovations to go -mostly just painting left. It's so nice to see the transformation - I really can't wait to see the finished house just in time for New Year!!

But for now - let's get on with the party!!

Tuits are very hard to come by, especially the round ones. For years people have been saying, "I'll do it as soon as I get a round tuit". Well now you can have one of your very own, and all those jobs that have needed doing will finally get done!

A bit of stitching!

Since I've been absent from the blog for a couple of weeks now, I thought I'd show a quick picture of something I've been sewing!

I had several kids to get Christmas presents for and post around the World. I like to make things for the kids so they always get something that you can't buy in the shops, but also light to post, as postage from Australia is very expensive!

This year, I made everyone a little keychain pouch with a personalised rag tag to go with it.

I had fun choosing the fabrics from my scrap boxes to go with the jeans denim; and I'm really pleased with how they turned out!
I was so intent on finishing them, and getting them wrapped and in the right packages for the right families and countries, that I forgot to photo all of them.

So there you go - that's one thing I've been up to sewing-wise lately.

This week I have to make new roman blinds for my girls new bedrooms!
I will share pictures when I'm finished those too!

Hope everyone is well, and managing to get in some Christmas sewing or crafting!!

A Round Tuit 183

Hello once again!
Well, after taking a couple of weeks break from my daily posts here at Creating my way to Success, I returned last Monday thinking I'd get back into things. Apparently life had other ideas and I've been flat out during the first week of the kids school holidays with organising club swimming nights, constructing new furniture, shopping, wrapping, and , and ...and..

I've decided to stop fighting it and let the Christmas and end-of-year busy-ness just sink in, and return to my own things - blogging, writing etc in the new year, with a fresh start.
Until then, The Round Tuit will continue, and a few odd other posts as I get a chance.

Hope you're all enjoying this busy time of year - and I am getting the odd chance here and there to check out your great links - lots of brilliant Christmas Craft ideas out there.....I had fun picking my favourites this week!!

So let's get to it!

Tuits are very hard to come by, especially the round ones. For years people have been saying, "I'll do it as soon as I get a round tuit". Well now you can have one of your very own, and all those jobs that have needed doing will finally get done!

Here's my favourites from last week's party:

First of all, you know I love a good upcycle - especially using clothes - so these Christmas Trees from a sweatshirt by Grandparents plus really caught my eye!

Next, another Christmas craft idea with this Fabric Christmas Countdown by Capturing Joy with Kristen Duke:

Finally, another idea for using clothing to make Christmas ornaments -this time snowmen from socks by Just a Little Creativity:

A Round Tuit 182

Welcome back to another Round Tuit.
I've not been around my blog much over the past couple of weeks. Time has instead been spent with my family for a short 'home break', enjoying the end of the school year for my girls, and also moving rooms in our house so our girls can have their own bedrooms for the first time (they've always shared).

Phew!  School is now finished for the year, and everyone is settled into their new spaces in our house.

The next few weeks will be spent making our new look house pretty, with paint and some new decor, and also for me, gearing up for my slightly new direction in the new year, with my blogs and sewing.

Let's see what you've all been up to now!
